Ok, say i have an AfterEffects movie that I apply to a plane in Cinema 4D. I apply this movie as a texture in a material onto the plane. I can set the animation parameters, etc. What i have never found out is how to be able to at least preview the proper frame as you scrub through the timeline for the animated texture.

I’m thinking C4D doesn’t do this, which really sucks if that’s the case cause it’s a pain to have to render the frame to know where your material is positioned.

I hope someone can tell me this feature is possible and how to do it. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

    Hey Nolan,

Thanks for that link. I read over all the posts and got the background object to preview. I also figured out how to scale the move to reside in the top left corner of my editor view. Just scale the material to 10% in both X and Y. Gets it out of the way if you have stuff going on in the middle. I checked out Paul Everett’s 10comm tools. Does anyone have this plugin? Does it work flawlessly? Couldn’t find the Xpresso thing by marinj. Where is it? I’d love to try it out.

    Thanks,

    Item 012.

I have 10comm. It works better then the xpresso setup but neither of them are flawless.

    Cheers
