Can you move tracks without dragging with the mouse?
My friend and I do some recordings that need to be synced up perfectly with the video we record, as both contain game audio and would sound weird if not synced up.
I do this by zooming out and then slowly dragging one of the audio files while playing a small piece looped. But although this works I can’t help feeling there could be a more precise way.
I can already use the arrow keys to move a frame forward or back at a time, is there a way I can move a track down or up the timeline a frame at a time?

Uncheck Quantise to Frames. This’ll allow you to move the Events at an inter-frame level.

Sure:
Options >> Quantize To Frames – OFF
PLUS
Options >> Enable Snapping – OFF
This will allow you to override both the SNAP of single frame adjustment and the ability to slip Audio.
NB: Remember to turn back on!

Check out the “keyboard shortcuts” list in the Vegas help.
Select the event you want to nudge along the timeline, start your loop playing if you need, and tap num-pad 1 and 3 to nudge the event left/right by one frame at a time.
If you’re on a laptop with no separate number pad, check if the keyboard has a numpad overlay using a FN key or similar. For example, my Dell laptop uses FN + 7/8/9/U/I/O/J/K/L/M as the number pad.

Wow I’m observant, hah, was looking for it in Tools and not Options, thanks. 🙂
And Matt, you are a god, that is going to save me so much hassle, I just synced my latest project so much easier now I have precise controls, thank you. ^^
