    Hey all, quick question-

Can you lock an object in the object manager so that you cannot select it in the viewport? I’m trying to work around a model that I need for reference. I tried the protection tag but it didn’t have any effect. Any help appreciated!

    Thanks,

add an Interaction tag and check ‘Disable Viewport Selection’

    I think that’s only available in R16…I’m on R15.

don’t know then, maybe Coffee or Python (but I don’t know how or if it’s possible)

In R15 you can use the layer manager. Assign your object to a layer and then lock the layer.
