Hi guys, I hope somebody can help me to solve this problem.
I’ve edited in Premiere Pro 2.0 my sequence, then I open my After Effects 7.0 and import the .avi sequence.
When I add it to the comp, the imagem becomes terrible, there’s a unexplainable loss of quality…

    What am I doing wrong?
If I double click my .avi file and play it even inside After Effects, its quality is ok… Take a look at the printscreen I’ve made, and if you can, please help me… https://img249.imageshack.us/img249/3607/lossofqualityqv6.jpg

Check the quality setting of your AE comp window

Your footage is currently set to “Separating (Lower Field)”

Is this correct? If your footage is progressive then it should not have field separation on, if it was recorded with a pulldown then that should be removed.

If your footage is, in fact, interlaced lower field first, then you should go into Interpret Footage (cmd+f on Mac, ctrl+f on PC with the footage item selected) and try the “Preserve Edges” checkbox.

If you remove fields from a progressive source you end up with a loss in lines of resolution.
