  • Can you delete optimized media from multiple projects at once in Resolve?

I can’t remember which projects I’ve generated optimized media for. Is there a universal Optimized file and cache deletion function to just wipe out everything? Remember, I’m an amateur, I just play at this, so it doesn’t matter if I delete “necessary” files. I can just regenerate later if I need to. Which I probably won’t.

You can delete the whole Resolve cache folder from the OS side. Unless you’ve given it some custom name it should be called CacheClip and it’s under the folder you’ve set as the cache.

Thanks Tero. You just cleared 300 gigs from my source drive! What about optimized files? Were those also stored in the CacheClip folder?

That folder has all cached files (smart/user cache, transitions etc.)and all optimized media.
