Can you delete Media Cache Files manually? Mine is at 278GB!
I am running only one project off of a raid. On the raid I have two folders:
one called Media Cache (about 1mb)
and another called “Media Cache Files” about 278GB!
When I clean up from inside Premier, “media cache files” doesn´t go down at all.
Can I just delete this?
Also, what is the best practice for cleaning up media cache, deleting render files, etc for best performance. I have a large project (40 hours of HD footage).

If you’re done with the Proj. associated with those files, sure.

Media Cache can be deleted, but know that PPro will re-build the cache files it requires the next time you open the project. You may have to wait a while until you can start working smoothly while it rebuilds.
