  Can Vive tracker be used without the headset in order to track a live performer?

  I’m planning to use the Vive tracker as a standalone (no headset) device, which I would attach to a musician’s instrument to project visual fx on the wall behind him. I want to use Notch builder, which is a software that supports vive. However, I’ve never used Vive before, and I don’t know if the tracker works independently of the headset. Does anyone know if it works on its own?
