Can Vegas batch several “render as” clips on the timeline?
It would be really helpful if I could select a series of clips on the timeline that were split from a single AVI and render them as individual new clips. Is this possible?

Absolutely. Just look at scripting! Go to Tools – Scripting and there’s a batch render tool there. You might also want to look at the “Veggie Toolkit” which has great flexibility in batch rendering either to multiple formats or from multiple files.
