Can Vegas 7 see Decklink component inputs?
Trying the Vegas 7 trial out with my Decklink Extreme. It monitors fine but I can’t get it to see an input signal to capture, though I do have deck control. Does it only work with SDI since that is all that is mentioned in the docs?

I just updated to the 5.6 drivers to try Vegas and apparently they are not working correctly.

Sony have certified DeckLink cards for use with Vegas 7.0a using DeckLink 5.6 drivers for Windows. Apparently they tested SDI i/o but not analog i/o. We’re performing our own testing with the release version of Vegas 7.0a and expect to have updated information available in a few days.

i have tested vegas 7.0a with 5.6 drivers and sd extreme card.
preview and print to tape are ok, but capture not.
“device error” on sdi and analog input too.why decklink trough asio driver is audio playback only and not capture device?

Analog capture/print is not supported at this time for anything other than monitoring.
Audio will be captured along with video over SDI, no need to split them out to AES or Asio for either capture or print to tape (monitoring…ok).
What deck are you using? Can you successfully capture using the standalone Decklink app? Have you modified any settings on the Decklink prefs page (control panel)? Vegas 7 has a new Decklink prefs page- is that configured to match your capture needs?
I (and others at SMS)have tested capture over SDI from Digibeta, DVCAM w/SDI, XDCAM SD and HD w/SDI, and HDCAM; works well with driver 5.6 if your configuration is right.

decklink sd extreme works great with 5.6 driver.
i can capture and ptt trough dl standalone app.in vegas7.0a i can ptt boath from sdi and analog outs and everything works great with deck control.
but capture replays device error.thnx,
