Can someone please clarify for me re DVCPRO
Hi all,
Does PPro support DVCPRO natively at all? With the Axio card will I have support for mxf files from the hvx200. I am looking at buying one of the cameras and want to know whether the much vaunted tapeless workflow and no digitising is possible in PPro or whether I will still be twiddling my thumbs waiting for files to be transcoded. Can anyone advise?

As far as Axio support for P2/MXF . . .I can only say Stay Tuned for possible announcements at NAB

If you have not purchased either PPro 2.0 or the Axio system, you might want to look at the Canopus Edius NX system. I recently attended a demo using this with the HVX 200 P2 cards. Quick ingest, no render and retains all Metadata. I use Edius 3.61 in all of my studio workstations and am adding the NX card this month. Watch for Edius 4.0 at NAB. Good luck.
