August 6, 2011 at 2:34 pmBoris BCC7 for vegas does not contain the particle engine present in the other versions.
Particle Illusion from Genarts gives you a very powerful standalone particle generator which can generate AVIs for importing into Vegas.
I have queried the lack of the particle engine in BCC 7/Vegas with Boris but they have not responded yet.

August 7, 2011 at 7:38 amI would really recommend you take another look at After Effects. If you’re serious about serious fx you’ll need a program with tracking and match moving etc. You can do some pretty nice compositing in Vegas but nothing like you can do in a dedicated compositing program. Plus the 3rd party plug-in support for AE for FX work is endless.

August 8, 2011 at 12:44 amVideo Copilot has inspired me quite a bit with its After Effects work. I also like the the founder – Andrew Kramer talks about Vegas quite a bit in some of his products. So that you don’t have to be a all Adobe.
