Can Photoshop Capture Directly from Digital Camera?
I’m talking about Canon’s EOS 1Ds Mark II. It has a firewire conection, I believe, and I’m using OS X Tiger and CS2.
Does anyone know if I can use Photoshop to capture images off of the camera live, by-passing the memory cards entirely? If it can’t do it, does anyone know of any OS X software that can do something like that? (Maybe even the image capture application that comes with OS X? I don’t have the camera at the moment so I can’t test it right now.)
I don’t know if this is possible at all, I just thought that if it was, someone around here would know. Thanks for any help.

I might be wrong about Photoshop, but I don’t think it will do this. Canon has the EOS Capture software that is designed to do this as well as remote shooting, meaning you can shoot “tethered” and have your files transfered immediatly to the Capture software package where you can then process the files and save or send them to Photoshop. It will also work for remote triggering of the camera from the computer.
