    Hi,

I just started using FC and I just want to practice editing a scene. I imported an aiff file that I converted in Quicktime. I also tried to import a wav file that I also converted in Quicktime. Unfortunately, I can’t hear the audio playback unless I am fast-forwarding or scrubbing. I have rendered the file (maybe I did this incorrectly) but nothing has come of it. I have also changed the external video device to none. I would really appreciate any advice!

are you converting before importing. If so, just import the aiff file directly. In the timeline, is there a red bar at the top. This means in needs rendering. On audio, you will here a series of beeps when you try to play it. Hope this helps
