  • Can one create titles in an HDV project without needing to render?

Within FCP, working on an HDV sequence, it appears using the FCP text generator requires constant rendering and whilst subtitling entire sections it is proving very time consuming. Has anyone here had experience finding a solution to this and if so would love to hear about it? Maybe using live type?
Any comments will be much appreciated!

HDV requires rendering for everything except some transitions when running a very high speed system. Titles will always require rendering with the current version of FCP.

This is why so many of us convert the footage to DVCPro HD during ingest.
