I have an issue with Cinema 4D version 20. I seem to have accidentally triggered something because every time I try to use it, I can NOT move the object from the center. Is there a way to reverse this problem? I’m attaching a 10-second video on YouTube to demonstrate the error:

    Hi Mauricio,

I think the problem is in the value of movement in Quantiz. On the right panel, go to Mode>Modeling>Quantiz. You should find the Enable Quantizing box checked, with a large value next to Movement. All you have to do is change the value to one so that it does not cause you problems in the future, and disable Quantizing if you don’t need it, as in the attached video.

I hope this will solve your problem.

No, it didn’t work for me. I think I might have pressed some key by mistake while trying to configure the shortcuts. I believe I will reinstall the program completely, but first, I want to learn what I did wrong so I don’t make the same error again. Thanks a lot for your help. Do you have any other ideas?

I don’t know if changing the Layout will fix that, but this seems strange. I was almost certain that the reason was Quantizing. I was surprised that it was not activated on your device. I will try to search again for the reason. I googled about that and you must before me, but I did not find anyone who came across something like this. I see that your grid spacing is relatively high (1000 cm) I don’t know if this has anything to do with it if you unintentionally make the model’s movement according to the spacing.

Don’t worry, your time dedicated to me means much more to me. Don’t worry, I will delete everything, remove preferences, and try to install again. I also use Cinema 2023, but I like this one and know it much better. Additionally, the problem might be that I am on a Mac M1, and it’s using Rosetta to run it. It never gave me problems in 2 years of use, but today I have one. I will reinstall everything and leave a post here to see if it gets resolved. Thanks a million again.
