    Joseph,

You probably need to set your recording hardware in windows.

Right click the speaker(volume) icon in the task bar, click “adjust audio properties”, Click the “audio” tab, select your sound card from the drop down menu. There may only be one to select. Click “Volume” make sure the select check box under microphone is checked. Slide the volume slider up. That should do it.

Some sound cards Do Not support recording. I have an Avance AC97 in my lap top that works and I have never had a problem using any of the Creative Sound blaster cards. Good Luck.

If all your external to Vegas settings are okay, you need to specify within Vegas what device you are using and also arm your track for recording if this is what you are trying to do.

    Cheers
