  • Can no longer see Video Event Pan/Crop window

Yesterday I was working on a video when I accidentally moved the Video Event Pan/Crop window off screen. Now, whenever I go to VE P/C, all I see is a window flashing by and disappearing into the bottom right corner of the screen. On the blue bar, as it flashes by, I see that it’s the Video Event Pan/Crop window. Does anybody know how I can get it back?

    Thanks very much in advance!

You can expand windows in the docking area to find it and drag it back off, you can reset Vegas by holding CTRL+SHIFT when booting Vegas (this resets all preferences, BTW).

I tried the ctrl-shift and reset the settings, but it still won’t appear. Where’s the docking area?

it’s where the FX,Generated Media, Transitions tabs are. It might have gotten hidden with the MEDIA,Explorer (etc) tabs – unless you resized it to nothingness it’s got to be there-once you find it you can pull it out of that area and close it so it will only open when you click on a clip and want it to open.

Try this: Change the screen resolution to a higher resolution, find the window and drag it back to the main area, and then reset the resolution back.
