  • Can multiple DSLRs jam timecode?

I’m an editor and have a concert film coming up a couple months from now. No DP yet, or else I’d ask him. The production crew is just estimating costs/benefits of various cameras while they look for a DP. That said, looks like it will be 4-5 cameras capturing the event.

My question is: do the DSLR’s jam timecode in anyway or run daytime TC? I tried using Google for the answer but got a little overwhelmed with the results.

    Thanks,
    Christian

No you can’t jam sync the time codes but you should check out PluralEyes.

It is a fcp plug in that uses the audio track of multiple clips and syncS for you. It’s amazing.
