Can i work with hdcam on this system?
Hi i am working with hdcam on a system and im not sure if its up to the task here are my specs
Kona Lhe
Fibre Channel HUGH 4tb external drive
FCP 6
OS X 10.4
2 x 3 dual core processor
8gb ramWill this be ok for me? Thanks Emmet

Tape format is not a big issue, the question is the format (codec) you need to use when capturing and editing and what type of editing are you doing. I can do HD ProRes editing on my MBP but it would be hard to do a 6-camera SD multicam edit on it.
But you can go a long way with your system and HD ProRes.
