the power supply has a current rating. This means that the drive requires a certain amount of amps to operate. For example, you keep plugging in lamps, and a vacume cleaner into your wall outlet of 15 amps. After a certain point, the circuit breaker will blow, because it does not have enough amperage to power all the lamps, vacume cleaner (and air conditioner).
Same with this – the drives take 12 V. I assume that the power supplies (you did not specify exact models) take 1.5 – 2 amps.
If you have a G-Tech that takes 3 or 4 amps (I doubt it), then the power supply will get very hot to the touch, and eventually stop working. But I am guessing that these are all 1.5 to 2 amps, so you should have no issue.
And when smoke starts to bellow out of your drive array, well, I really make sandwiches for a living and just stalk on Creative Cow.
