Can I save to a previous version of FCP?
I am trying to share work with a colleague. The problem is he has FCP version 5.1 and I have 4.5. Is it possible for him to save in a previous version of FCP? Any other ideas?

Export the cut as an XML, v1 (FCP 4.5 cannot read v2). This will get them only the cut, not the organized bins.
You cannot save as a previous version.
He is going to have to upgrade so that you both are on the same page…
