I think the easiest way would be to duplicate the layer, turn off the original layer, and then remove the key frames on the duplicate.

Hi Justin,

The “Fx” button at left of Effect name toggles the Effect on/off if that helps. I don’t know of a way to deactivate actual keyframes though.
