  • can I lock the effect and shift the source file

I have cs3 and did some blurring out of logos using a mask and gaussian blur. The problem is that the automation is “off” by several frames (don’t ask why, long story). Is there a way to shift all the automation back to line it up with the frames that need it? Or is there a way to “lock” the automation and shift the footage to line it up?

Here’s what happened. I lost the source file and had to re-export it, but it doesn’t line up right now as it’s not exactly the same as the old file. So I need to shift the automation to line up with the source file. Is this possible???

Precomp the file…there is an option to keep all changes in the current comp….Now go into the precomp and nudge the footage up or down the timeline. Should be rather quick and painless.

That is how I would go about it, but of course there are probably other ways.

I redid the 95 minute file, actually had to break it up into two parts in order for it to work. But it still has the blur between frames and at times it repeats a frame or something and it gets off. Sometimes it repeats a frame in place of the frame that’s supposed to be there. The cuts in the movie are hard cuts, yet when you go through the rendered out file there is a blend frame on the cuts which shows me for sure that it is blending frames. 🙁 I’m desperate!!!
