Can I do this without Body Paint?
Is there a way to recreate this type of material (specifically the cracks/displacement) WITHOUT using bodypaint?
I’ve recreated the glossy chrome look, but the displacement is proving difficult or impossible. I’m worried the only way is to use bodypaint, which I’m trying to avoid since the client likes to change text, fonts, style, you-name-it constantly.
Any help, or even a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

You could simply create a bump map in Photoshop and flat map it over the logo.

I swear I tried that earlier with noise shaders, but I couldn’t get it to work. However I did try making some cracks in a .psd and it worked out really good! So Thank You! Here’s a pic of what I came up with. I added some grunge to the diffusion channel too.
