I have my project on an external drive. Everything was saved on that drive until I went to another computer. On this NEW computer I imported a premade media file I needed, by default it recreadted the files on the C:. Now, I’ve moved yet again to another computer and naturally Avid can not find the new aiff and omf files that were on the C: of the previous computer. However! I HAVE the ORIGIONAL files I used. In this case, I have the origional AVI I imported. I simply want to REimport the files and then RELINK the clips to the NEWLY imported file. Is there a way I can find out what aif/omf files the clips are linked to so I can RENAME the NEW aiff/omf file to match the old, thus cheating my program into thinking that the clips are there? If not, is there ANYTHING I can do?

    Syntax,
What system, hardware and verion of Avid are you using. I’m betting that under the settings in media creation the boot drive has been eliminated from the media drives this is “Filter Out System Drive” also you should throw away all media databases in the OMFI folders. These may be msmFMID and msmMMOB depending on the version of Avid you are on. The data based will rebuild themselves upon relaunching the application.
