Can I capture 25P Directly from Varicam AJ-HDC27H?

Which Varicam are you using? Is the Varicam’s System Freq. set to 50Hz? We recently tested a PAL workflow with our HPX500. We used a PAL Easy Setup to L&T the clips into FCP. It worked perfectly. We were even able to view the footage on our HD monitor.

John, I have the AJ-HDC27H which draws the 25P output from a 60Hz system frequency. It doesn’t have a 50Hz setting like the HPX500.

you need to step back and give system, Os and Software versions info,
are you using the Aja Kona 720p25 ProRes(Version) VFR setting?
if not what settings are you using?

you have confirmed that the camera is set to 60hrz and NOT 59.94 in the service menus
Camera frame rate is set to 25?

which video tap are you coming out of on the camera?
