    Hi,

I was wondering if some of you could be really benevolent.

I’ve been an editor for almost fifteen years but have long had a fascination with grading. A few weeks ago I downloaded Resolve Lite, got myself a book with a disc of demo footage and hit the tutorials hard! I really feel this is the way ahead for me, but the majority of my work is corporates and graphics-led TV commercials; other than the occasional white-balance correction I don’t get to do as much artistic grading as I want to.

I’m keen to get a feel for grading for independent movies and music videos (yes, isn’t everyone?) and I would be exceptionally grateful if any of you kind folks would be willing to donate an HD shot with plenty of latitude for some elaborate grading so I could build a reel – naturally with attribution and a very clear disclaimer that I haven’t actually worked on your projects. I can send you the graded shot back… if that would be of any use to you?! Hopefully I could make it beneficial in return one day.

I realise it’s an odd request but I thought I’d reach out anyway.

    Cheers,
    Tom
