Can FCP do a dolly move for me?
The scene is a son sitting at a table with his parents. The parents are on each end and the son is between them and center framed. The idea is to dolly into the son’s face just slightly as he tells a story. I did not do it on the day of the shoot and wish I would have. Does FCP have the ability to do this. I am using FCP 6 and here is what I tried to no avail:
1. Got to the first frame where I want the move to start, click the motion tab and set an anchor point
2. Go to the last frame where I want the move to stop… put on image/wireframe and made the image bigger.
I thought that would make the video slowly move into the close up, but nothing is happening? Any thoughts? Am i suppose to hit the anchor button again at the end of the clip? -

Just adjust the scale. Add a KEYFRAME at the start, and then a keyframe at the end. Push in only 10% max.
