can compressor create wmv files?
Hello,
I’m looking for a robust and full-fledged compression program that will allow me to create wmv files from (or easily) in combination with FCP. I’ve tried popwire WMV-9 export component for quicktime but not sure if i’m getting the right setting options that I need. I’ve also looked at compression master 3..and discreet cleaner 6. discreet looks pretty darn good don’t want to have to buy it if compressor can already do these things (I have compressor v1.0.1

Flip 4 Mac makes a very simple, very inexpensive WMV compressor. Also, Sorenson Squeeze 4 is outstanding, though I’m not sure if the Mac version make’s wmv’s. I know the Windows version does.

It can with the Flip4Mac components inside the shipping Sorenson 4.1.
https://tinyurl.com/83lfyJust the Flip4Mac components should work with FCP without Sorenson 4.1 if he doesn’t need all the other encoding options offered by Sorenson.
