Curious about ProCoder 2.0 and Sorenson Spark Pro codec. I am aware that the software comes with the “regular” Sorenson Spark codec, but can the Sorenson Spark Pro version of the codec be bought and implemented into ProCoder? I’m evaluating options for purchase of an encoder and have considered ProCoder 2.0, Sorenson Squeeze 4.1, as well as the Sorenson Spark Pro codec for Flash. We are getting ready to produce a large number of FLV files for Flash player 7 and high quality is of utmost importance. ProCoder’s feature that allows multiple file/format stitching into a single file is extremely attractive, but I am concerned that ProCoder might not support the Sorenson Spark Pro codec and that the quality of my FLV files will be compromised.

To throw one more variable into the equation, VP6/VP7 codec for new Flash 8 is set to take Sorenson Spark Pro codec out of the picture all together. How should this play in my decision to purchase an encoding program? Let me know if anyone has any resources or insight on this subject. Thanks.
