Can Avid run on Intel dual 3.2Ghz system?
Hi, I looking into buy a computer and I found one that has two separate Intel processors installed with 3.2ghz each. I was wondering will Avid be able to run on this system?

Sure, the processors aren’t a problem Shane, but isn’t there an issue that the system isn’t qualified by Avid and they need assistance?
The thing to look at is the entire system. Avid has some specs that detail video cards – which is just as important as the processor (IMHO).

The minimum specs require:
Intel dual, dual core 2.66 GHz Xeon
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33 GHz (laptops)
System Memory:
2GB of RAM
Note 1: If working with complex sequences, (multiple effects/streams) or compressed HD resolutions 4 GB of RAM is recommended.
Graphics Card:
NVidia GeForce familyThat machine he asked about falls within that spec. But yes, you need to get an Nvidia graphics card, for it is as important as the machine. I am running Avid MC Adrenaline on a 3.2Ghz Octo just fine.
