June 29, 2011 at 2:18 amYes I think so 2.2.3
I beginning to think it can’t run on a MBP. What is your system?

August 11, 2011 at 2:57 pmRegarding this entire thread, I am definitely a MAC FCP junkee (
hoping apple will not disappoint us in the near future…)and also thinking of learning AVID . Can someone maybe give me an idea as to what version I should get (since I”m clueless when it comes to AVID)
maybe the equivalent of FCP7 +compressor+DVDstudio pro ? just to begin with…Thanks for this!

August 11, 2011 at 4:31 pmThe Avid Media Composer production bundle comes with Sorenson Squeeze (Compressor equivalent), Boris effects…a few music library DVDs…and a DVD authoring program that is WINDOWS compatible. No Mac one yet. There is no “Studio” Bundle like FCP and Premiere has…it’s mainly the NLE with a couple side apps. Sorenson is VERY useful though.

GETTING ORGANIZED WITH FINAL CUT PRO DVD…don’t miss it.

February 3, 2012 at 10:02 pmGreat forum, I was wondering the same since I’m planning on slowly migrating from FCP to AVID.
Has anyone tried Media Composer 6? I’m thinking of getting it soon. Any comments?
