    Hi All!

I was wondering if something like this style could be created in after effects. If so, does anyone know of more examples that I could take a peek at?

    Thanks so much!

This looks like it was done in After Effects, though asking whether it *was* done in After Effects is a bit like asking whether Picasso used a boar’s hair brush to paint Guernica. He could have but its really impossible to tell. There are other applications like Apple’s Motion and older ones like Combustion that can achive similar results.

There are countless examples of this sort of work using 3D in the application.

Yes it can be created Except Few things that can be done in AE but it will be easier if done in Cinema 4D (for example Text)but few stuff would be tricky for example the ball..you have to find a 3d model of that or created your self using Cinema 4d or 3d max i guess.

in this video this guy mentions about Depth of field and how do you use it and some camera movements…it might not be similar to that but that’s the only video that i know of…in your video above they used depth of field(some blur maybe as well) and camera alot so this might give you an idea.

Sorry for the bad English..Hope you understand.

    After Effects Noob…but will rise..

All of it can be done entirely in AE. You may need some 3d plugins like Zaxwerks Invigorator or Element 3d if you want the baseball to be a true 3d one. You can fake that using CC Sphere or FreeForm Pro / ShapeShifter AE, the latter being also useful for the logo/text in 3d.

You can create almost everything right in AE as Ted has said.

It is a Combination of 3D layers, Camera Movement, Track Mattes, Depth of Field, CC Sphere(You can use it to fake the 3D Ball Effect and it works pretty fine) and for 3D text you can use plugins like Element 3D. There is a script also to mimic 3D text by bundling 3D layers though it makes composition heavy but you can use it if you don’t want to spend money for plugins.

Here are several ways to create a 3D Text in AE:
