I captured my files in Vegas as m2t, but found that AE can’t open them – is there a way around this without having to re-render the clip? (BTW, I know about Cineform, just looking for an alternate).

AE CS3 can. I’ve heard from an associate that an earlier version cannot. We work with m2t files in AE CS3 quite often.

    Take care,

I just successfully imported an m2t clip into After Effects CS3.

Are you using an earlier version of After Effects?

Here’s a link to the supported formats for import for After Effects CS3.

Yeah, I am using 6.5…I think I am going to try and rename the mpg as someone else in another forum suggested and see what happens.

Ok, I downloaded the trial of CS3 and it gives me the same error when trying to import the m2t file – what am I doing wrong here? They are just captured in Vegas as a m2t file, but with CS3 I am still unable to import them…

Never mind, it is because I had renamed them, stupid me.
