Can AE make handheld shaky footage look smooth?
I’m a Mac user and I know that both Shake and the new FCP has the ability to analyize a clip and smooth out the shaky handheld look it may have…. someone told me that AE has the same ability but I didn;t have enough time to pick his brain and find out how. Is this true? Is it a plug-in? How do I go about doing it?

yes, ae can do it with it motion tracking tool. look up motion tracking in the manual, or help file, for a description of and how to use the various controls.
success depends largely on the footage and find a good point to track.
