Can a script read an XML file and place audio files on specific tracks at specific times?
Hi,
We are looking into using Sony Vegas but before we invest in the software we need to know whether the scripting functionality is capable of some key tasks.
We would like to create a script which can do thse task in the following order:
1. Open a template project
2. Read an XML or text file and import certain mp3s with specific file names (declared in the XML) and import these at specific times on a specific track. E.g. import audioclip1.mp3 and place at time = 2 seconds, import audioclip2.mp3 and place at time = 20 seconds etc. The audio clip file names and times where these should be placed will be declared in the xml.
3. Normalise all these audio clips to 0db or just below 0db
4. Import a music track (again, filename declared in XML) and import to a specific track.
5. Fade out music track at a time specified in the XML
6. Mix down the audio and music to a singular WAV file with a filename specified in the XMLI know it’s asking a lot but if you could let me know if the above is possible with 1 script that would be great.
