  Can a “Decklink SDI 4k” card be used in full duplex with an Ultrascope card?

  Hi guys,

  I’m trying to solve a hole in our 4k pipeline. I don’t have a way to downsample a 4k 6g-SDI signal into an HD-SDI signal.

  I need an HD-SDI signal so I can feed it to my ultrascope (PCIe) and my HD/2k reference monitor.

  It appears the “Decklink SDI 4k” card is full duplex. And it also should have downsampling capabilities.

  So my question is…

  if I:
  – put Decklink 4k card and Ultrascope card into a 2nd mac tower
  – set decklink to downsample to HD on output
  – feed 4k to decklink input
  – feed HD from decklink output to Ultrascope input

  Will it work? (aside from some latency)
