Can a AE PC Plugin work with the Mac version of AE
Will a After Effects plugin for the PC version of AE work with the Mac OS X version of AE, or do you need a OS X version of that plugin?

Typically you need separate versions. I think there are a few, mostly keyframe assistant type things (like Profound Effects’ Useful Things) that aren’t platform specific, but it’s not common.
