I have just purchased a 2nd Lacie 12TB 4big Quadra external storage drive.

Is it possible to combine both drives into 1 bigger storage raid system?

    Regards,

Yes, with spanning or striping in either OSX or Windows. What system (hardware, OS) are you using?

    Mac Pro, Quad-Core Intel Xeon – 2.8GHz

    Mac OS X 10.7.5

Do you know of any tutorials or blogs that I can learn how spanning and stripping process?

Thanks for verifying that it can be done.

I thought I replied but maybe my post is still sitting in the moderation queue…

First, a correction: RAIDing removable / portable drives is neither recommended nor supported, so you may not be able to RAID two of your Quadras together. I completely blanked out on this when responding. In general, the device must appear to the system as “fixed” in order to be a part of a RAID set.
