    I have a Canon t3i and a Sony pj710 Handycam.

I do hidden camera videos so I usually use the Handycam but I feel like it is not a good format for YouTube for some reason. I use Premiere Pro and t3i footage works very well and fast on when editing, but the Sony is slow and does not render as good (even uncompressed rendering looks noticeably worse while the t3i is only a tiny bit worse when rendered.

MPEG AVC/H.264 is what the Sony format says at 60fps/1080p

If I were to get a new camera, what would be a good option? A smaller camera is good for the hidden camera, but I think I can also work with a larger camera if it is a lot better. I have a Juicedlink preamp and a Sennheiser wireless.

Budget is up to $2500 on the camera. What should I look for when choosing a camera solely for upload to YouTube? Which specifications?

Should I think about saving for higher price points up to 10k? It would be farther off but how much better would it be for a novice to just point and film (that’s the good think about my handycam it has great stabilization with a gyroscope thing)?
