December 15, 2018 at 8:14 pmI also struggle to match the perspective of my Camera inside after effects with the one form Cinema 4D! My animated text always staying float in the air!
In Cinema 4D I found it impossible to calibrate my camera using camera calibration tag to match the perspective of my custom background which consist of two parts (Floor + Background that covers the area above the floor)! This background was made inside After Effects and it is available down below!

I also examined if extracting my Camera from Cinema 4D file will help solve the problem! but it didn’t!
I also tried to make my floor and my background inside Cinema 4D from the two separate parts of my custom background! But that didn’t work as well!
Since all these struggles are at the end because of adding some particular effects to my animated text, therefore I feel the need to make a rendered output of my animation with alpha and depth channels and of course without any backgrounds! The background will be added to it later inside After Effects! However, I may want the treflection of my text and some shadows from the original animation that comes from Cinema 4D!
I am new to Cinema 4D and to After Effects as well, but not completely unfamiliar with 3D modeling and animating applications (i.e.3D Max!).
I hope with your help I could get to fix this real quick, because I am spending like two Or more days only to figure out how to get this done.
I didn’t include the Project files of neither the actual project nor the testing project here, but I believe It is quite clear where and what I am struggling with here! Please see the Screen shot in the attached document.
Thank you for your time …
