Hi all, I’m embarking on making a documentary and looking for some camera recommendations. I’m an editor by trade and while I’ll be hiring a DP with a kit for important dates, I’m going to be doing a lot of the shooting as a one or two woman show. I’ve mostly worked with DSLR’s which I definitely don’t want for this. It’s about a waterski show, so a lot of the time I’m going to be shooting outside, at night, on the go. Looking for something that will look good, focus easily, has onboard mics, and isn’t overkill and eating up crazy drive space, for around 3-5K (or less!). I would greatly appreciate any and all advice. Thank you!

Anything in your price range from Sony, or Panasonic, I’d say.
