    Hi,

I’ve just finished producing a nice landscape matte painting in Photoshop and I want to project it onto 3D geometry within Cinema 4D. The landscape has several overlapping layers, eg. a foreground, midground and background. Some of the edges have intricate detail. I was hoping to be able to project each layer onto its own geometry separately, and to save a lot of modeling around the edges I was also hoping to be able to have transparency on the edges by using the alpha channel, but when I do this it doesn’t give complete transparency. Is there a way to do this or do I have to model the edges of each layer precisely?

    Thanks,

    Simon.
