    Hi-

Recently I’ve been experimenting with cameras in After Effects. The project I’m working on right now consists of the camera rising in the air, with the point of interest on my name in the distance, then “rushing” in towards it. Everything looks great, until two seconds before the camera completes its path toward my name. For some reason, right before my name fills the frame, the camera moves slightly backward. There aren’t any keyframes I had accidentally set to make it do this. It’s really confusing.

I can try to post the project file for a better demonstration if you would like.

    Thanks!

There is a tutorial on this by Aharon. I think it is called boomerang effect. It is actually a 2 part series.

Actually I just watched the tutorial yesterday on the “boomerang” effect. It looked like it would work, but when I tried it on the camera, it still had that erratic movement…
