AE does not support 3D objects except for cameras, solids, and nulls, so you can’t import 3D text. Camera import is for matching 3D layers that you might want to add in AE.

so can i import the text as a still, and then use the camera data to rotate around it? Or what is the approch when i want to make the camera to rotate around a text i create in cinema4d?

The approach would be to animate the camera move in Cinema and render it out there. You could render out various passes and then send it to AE if you wanted to adjust colors, reflections, etc., or if you wanted to add elements in AE.
