    Hi All,

    I am new to C4D. I have C4D R11.5. I have attached my camera

with spline though it is not moving with spline and moving in wrong

direction. OK let me give you some more detail.Actually I want to

make my camera move with spline. To do this I have followed below

    steps :
    1. I created a cylinder.

    2. Mark hight segments : 50

    3. Select one raw of edges and convert that edges to spline.

    4. I attached camera with that spline

    5. I used bend deformer on cylinder.

After that when I tried to move camera with (bended) spline but

it didn’t move with that and it is moving in the direction of

spline’s original shape (before I used bend deformer). Please see

attached image and you will understand what I want to say. Please

tell me how can I move camera in right direction.

    Thank you,
    V!pati

If you have MoGraph … and if there was a MoSpline object in that version … that’s what I would use. Basically the mospline traces your deformed spline, and you would align the camera to the mospline instead of the original.

Another method, if you have MoGraph, would be to use a matrix object to clone some particles on the points you used to create the spline and then use the mograph tracer to trace a spline between the particles.

Could you simplify by creating a spline that curves the way you want it to (drawn using bezier spline tool), use a sweep nurb (with a circle) to create the tube and then use the same spline again to animate your camera?
