  • Camera mapped texture doesn’t “stick”

I’m trying to project a texture onto the top of an oil tank object. I set up a camera directly above the object, exported a .psd, added text to it, but when I camera map this back to the object, it doesn’t stick. For instance if the object rotates, the texture doesn’t.

Am I missing something really sumple? Is there a better way to approach this?

Don’t forget you need to make a new camera to animate with. The mapped object and its camera(s) must be linked together and the camera cannot move once it’s been initially placed.

Thats the definiton of this kind of projection, it depends on the camera, not on the object.
If you want to make it stick select the texture tag and choose “Generate UV Coordinates” from the OM Menu. The current camera mapping is then translated in a UV map.
