    Hi,

    I am making a rip-off of the uk x-factor opening sequence. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7J-axA4rR6Y

I am creating the fire behind the X in particular using a light to move it round in 3d space. The client, after seeing the first version has asked me if the fire could be tapered towards the end. Basically making it narrower and narrower towards the end.

Any ideas how to achieve this either in particular or any other solutions. Obviously i have thought of masking it and rotoskoping, but that is really a last resort option.

    Thanks

    Rory

open the “size overlife” settings and then decrease ending values.. then it will be tapered.. ( may be you should play around opacity overlife settings too) and don’t forget to click “smooth”..
