Hi there, as you all know when you animate a camera from one point to another you create a path of dotted lines which the camera travels along.

I seem to have run into an intermittent problem with these paths as sometimes they contain larger dots which enable me to drag them out making smooth curves to the path/camera move, however sometimes these are not present and the paths just contain regular dots.

I cannot seem to locate any changes in settings from one time to the next and these control vertices are present in the first instance yet not in the second.

Are there any pre-requisites to using this technique, am I missing something really quite obvious?

    Thanks for the help.

And I prefer to parent my cameras to null objects. I much more enjoy moving the null around than moving the camera.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

Also you should be able to add keyframes to a motion path by using the pen tool (G) and clicking on the path.

    Hi Steve,

I think what you are more likely talking about is your KF is linear rather than bezier.
Ctl+Alt (Cmd+Opt on Mac)click on it and the handle(s) will be there. Sometimes the bezier handle is just hard to see too depending on your magification or the time between KFs.

    Good Luck.
    Don
