  Camera Calibrator Alternatives

  I wanted to move some C4D objects in After Effects with a backdrop of New York City. I notice that C4D layers in AE CC 2017 are difficult to align to an image. Then I found a marvellous tutorial on YouTube ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0976dRXG_A#t=1025.200553 ) but then found out this capability (the Camera Calibrator) is not in the After Effects (Lite) version.

  Does anyone know a way that camera calibration can be achieved by other means ? even if only an approximate solution?

  It can be a little challenging to work from references and/or tutorials written for a more capable version of C4D but sometimes equivalent techniques can be used.
